The science

How it works

Neutralizes free radicals
Glutathione donates an electron to unstable molecules, taking the hit itself. It is the cell’s front-line antioxidant.
Recycles other antioxidants
It restores vitamins C and E to their active forms, so one glutathione molecule protects far more than itself.
Supports liver detox
Glutathione-S-transferase enzymes attach it to toxins, making them water-soluble so the liver can clear them.
Shifts skin pigment
It pushes melanin production toward pheomelanin, the lighter pigment, rather than darker eumelanin.

Glutathione’s biology is well established. Studies of injected glutathione for specific outcomes are limited.

A note from Dr. Wright

Your liver makes this every day, and things like alcohol, medications, and illness draw it down. I use it as support alongside sleep and nutrition, not as a detox.

Questions

Common questions

Can I just take a pill?
Oral glutathione is broken down in the gut. Injection delivers more to the body.
Will it lighten my skin?
Many patients see a brighter, more even tone. It doesn’t bleach the skin.
Why in the muscle?
At these volumes, injecting into the muscle is usually more comfortable.
How long should I take it?
Ongoing, or in 8 to 12 week courses. Dr. Wright will help you decide.
