Levels rise at orgasm. Small studies suggest adding it can intensify the experience and the closeness afterward.

It dampens the brain’s stress and fear response, which can help people relax into intimacy.
Short-acting
A dose works within minutes and fades within an hour or two, so it is used when needed rather than daily.
Human studies are small and mixed. The largest trial in women found similar improvement with oxytocin and with placebo.

Getting started with Oxytocin
Oxytocin

Anyone who is pregnant or could be pregnant, since oxytocin causes uterine contractions. People with severe nasal allergies or recent nasal surgery should use the troche instead of the spray.
Is it the same as Pitocin?
It is the same hormone. Pitocin is the FDA-approved injection used during labor. Yours is a compounded low-dose spray or troche.
Can I use it with PT-141?
Yes. PT-141 works on desire; oxytocin works on connection and the experience itself. Dr. Wright often pairs them.
Spray or troche?
The spray works faster. The troche is easier to carry and doesn’t need refrigeration.
What does the research show?
Small studies suggest it can intensify orgasm and closeness, especially in men. In the largest trial in women, sexual function improved about equally with oxytocin and placebo.
